Relocating to Saudi Arabia

Welcome to the Kingdom

We do not just place professionals. We support the move itself, with personal guidance on living, studying and enjoying Saudi Arabia.

The questions everyone asks first

Moving country is a big decision, and it arrives with a very practical set of questions. Which city suits my family? Where would my children study? What is there to do on a long weekend?

This guide covers the ground people ask us about most. The rest we work through with you, one step at a time.

Where to live

Saudi Arabia offers a modern, secure lifestyle with excellent infrastructure. Three regions account for most expatriate moves.

Riyadh

The bustling capital, and the centre of gravity for business and government. Premium compounds such as Al Nakhla and Al Hamra make it a strong choice for families and for professionals moving alone.

Jeddah

A cosmopolitan coastal city with a more relaxed pace and views over the Red Sea. Popular with people who want the sea close by without leaving a major metropolitan area.

Dhahran, Khobar and Dammam

The Eastern Province hubs, long established as family-friendly communities and the base for much of the Kingdom's energy and industrial sector.

Whichever city you land in, expect modern healthcare, reliable utilities and a short commute by international standards.

Where to study

Education is usually the deciding factor for families, so it is worth looking at early.

Thuwal: KAUST

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology is a world-class research university with striking campus facilities and a genuinely international community.

Riyadh and Jeddah

Both cities host top institutions, including King Saud University, alongside a wide range of international schools following British, American and IB curricula.

Where to explore

The Kingdom is far larger and more varied than most people expect before they arrive.

AlUla

A UNESCO World Heritage site of ancient tombs carved into sandstone, set in dramatic desert landscapes. Worth more than a day trip.

Riyadh Season

Months of festivals, concerts and entertainment that take over the capital and pull in visitors from across the region.

The Red Sea coast

Some of the best diving in the world, long stretches of quiet beach, and a growing set of luxury resorts along the coastline.
